It didn’t take long for Theo Epstein to lay down the law. At the Cubs Convention yesterday he stated, “ The organization would no longer tolerate players who enjoy the nightlife at the expense of getting a good night’s sleep.”
This is somewhat mind-blowing to me seeing what events took place during his last year in Boston, where players were boozing, ordering fast food, and playing video games during their off days.

Texas v. St. Louis Under: This weather is crazy. I like the under, and I actually like a little bit on STL here. For what it's worth, I'm not too far from St. Louis; it's windy enough to knock the wires around and real chilly here right now. Its my opinion that this one turns into a pitcher's duel. I played baseball at one point, and I can tell you that if it is 46 degrees, windy like mad, and rain pelting you in your face; it's not fun batting. Since 2004, Away Division Dogs off of a win in the first month of MLB with +170 to +110 (inclusive) odds are SU (straight up): 190-195 (49.35%) +$6,082 (that's +15.8% roi on a 385 game sample). That means about 55
games a year or 1.83
