NHL & NCAAB Sports Betting Insights: Achieving 700 Units

Yesterday: 6-2 +3.48 units in . So close on the big +170 dog in NHL, which would have made it a massive day. Let’s keep them coming…

Goal: Aiming for 700 units by at least the end of this year (email picks).

Big Sports betting Update:

CBB (College Basketball Wagering): The raw numbers had an impressive day, achieving a remarkable 11-1 ATS (Against The Spread) yesterday for edges over +1.00, and 14-5 for edges of 0.5 plus. This elevates the cumulative total to 872-745 at 53.9% with +89.75 units ATS for the NCAAB 2015 season. My confidence in these betting strategies remains robust despite experiencing a recent 0-4 day.

Even though everything is technical, understanding the raw numbers is essential for me. Since 2012, MLB () raw numbers have declined. I suspect factors like changes in team divisions, the addition of a wild card spot, and the introduction of instant replay could affect my model’s performance. If another wild card spot were added, the final month of the MLB regular season might become more competitive, which seems to be the case since those changes. Consequently, I’ve made minor adjustments to my MLB raw numbers and gained a better understanding of the sport.

While I enjoy the NFL (National Football League) and MLB, I wouldn’t call myself a big sports betting fan. I’m connecting with sports enthusiasts and will share insights from my friend Adam about the NBA’s faster pace in a future email. He notes that teams embracing speed have improved their performance. For instance, teams that push the tempo, like the Denver Nuggets, have found success, while those trying to replicate the Golden State Warriors’ style may struggle. Many current winning teams are increasing game speed, but take a look at the San Antonio in second place; they have a much slower pace. Similarly, teams like the Heat, Cavs, Grizzlies, and Raptors are winning while playing a slower game.

I haven’t focused as much on CBB, but I’ll take +88 units for the simplest raw number edge. Overall, I believe there aren’t many changes in NCAAB that raise questions.
